Let the Wind Blow

You are my hiding place; you will protect me from trouble and surround me with songs of deliverance. Psalm 32:7 (NIV)
It seems like God has been showing me a lot about wind and storms lately. You know how you find a theme running through your days at times? Mine have been tornadoes and storms and heavy winds...The God of the universe is stirring things up in me, in people around me, in my church... and I just have this wonderful vision of being in the "eye of the storm" and standing behind Him with His robes caught up in my hands to block my eyes. I am safe, but I have to hold on really tight and not let what I see scare me. I feel his confidence and firm stance, not even a sway from the high winds blowing our hair out of control and the sand and dirt and debris twirling around us.

In God's presence I experience peace and I'm almost giddy with all the excitement these storms are bringing, and I'm captivated by His strength and power over these winds. I am expecting that He will do something amazing and I can't wait to see it. My God. My Saviour. The creator of the Universe is protecting me. He loves me and I know it. I don't always remember that I know it, but right now...I am embracing Him, His strength, His Wisdom, His Power, His Love, His protection and just how intimate He wants to be with me.

It's the most amazing sense of His presence I have ever felt.
Thank you Jesus for loving us so much that you allow us to hide in you, to be protected by you. What an amazing gift you have given us. Help us Lord to remember to receive it when we find ourselves in the storm, to remember that you ARE there for us. We praise you Lord and Glorify your name for you are worthy of all of our praises. Thank you Lord, In Jesus' name, Amen.
