Visiting or Staying?

And this hope will not lead to disappointment. For we know how dearly God loves us, because He has given us the Holy Spirit to fill our hearts with His love. Romans 5:5 (New Living Translation)

Love can be felt. Love can be shared. Love can be expressed. But very seldom can love be described in words. Have you ever had a thrilling experience in your life and found it difficult to describe to others "exactly" how you felt? It may have been a quivering sensation running through your body during a roller coaster ride, or that breathtaking experience you had when you fell in love for the first time.

Whatever your thrilling and heartwarming experiences might have been, trying to make others totally understand how you felt is hardly ever accomplished. For example: a trip to Hawaii.

I've never been there, but I know friends that have. Coming back from their trip, they begin to tell me how much they enjoyed their stay, how beautiful it was, how they enjoyed the food (they could only vaguely describe how good the food tasted as well), how nice the weather was, how friendly the people were. And they attempted to describe the many waterfalls, sunsets, and sunrises they saw.

Well, no matter how hard or "well" they shared in detail what they experienced, and regardless of using words such as "breathtaking", "excitement", "beautiful", etc., I could barely relate. I had only limited capacity to fully understand what they experienced. Now if I had taken the trip with them to Hawaii, then I would have a better understanding and could easily relate what they were talking about.
Today I'd like to tell you about a pleasant place where I have been. I could only attempt to make you understand what I mean because it's something you have to experience yourself to comprehend. I could only tell you that it's a place where you want to visit and stay. It's a place not even Hawaii can compare in its beauty. The waterfalls of blessings flow and pour forever. It's the safest place you can be.

It's a place where everyone is more than welcome to stay. Actually, it's a place where God wants you to visit and stay. John 10:9 – Yes, I am the gate. Those who come in through me will be saved. They will come and go freely and will find good pastures.
God is love. Enter through this Gate and know "exactly" want I mean. Visit these good pastures that are supplied by God's loving hands. Visit Him today as you too will find peace that will make you smile more. Today if you have the Lord in your heart, thank you for staying, as you know exactly what I'm saying when I say God is Good.

Lord thank you for loving us and making a way that we see and feel your love. May we always stay in Your presence and try to share your presents and gift of your love to all. In the Good Shepherd Jesus' name I pray, Amen.
