Whose Eyes?

"...What is seen is temporary..." 2 Corinthians 4:18 (NIV)

Whose Eyes?
“…What is seen is temporary…” 2 Corinthians 4:18 (NIV)

Life is hard. Walking this journey is challenging. It’s just not easy at all.

I am encouraged by 2 Corinthians 4:18, “So we fix our eyes not on what is seen, but on what is unseen, since what is seen is temporary, but what is unseen is eternal.”

God took void and with the sound of His words turned it into life.
God took death and with the power of His plan brought about resurrection.
God took epic failure and with the purpose of eternal connection, created Redemption.

This same All-Powerful God knows the curvature of our lives.
He has been with us up the hills, and around the bends. It has been His protective and providing hand that has carried us through to this point.
Some of our points are dull and nonthreatening, and some of our points are sharp and painful.
Whatever your point looks like, never forget that God sees the unseen.
Don’t get stuck focusing on troubles we see through our human condition, because today’s troubles are only temporary.
No matter the size of them, no matter the outcome we think they may bring, no matter how they make us feel…they are temporary.

We see troubles… God sees trust.
We see doubt… God sees delivery.
We see no way out…God sees the Exit Door.

Let’s fix our eyes on our Great God who sees all the little that we see and all the big that we don’t!

Thank you, Father for being a God we can trust with all that we don't see and all that we don't understand. You are so faithful to us!
