Proverbs 10:12 Hatred stirs up strife, But love covers all sins. (NKJV)
"And so woodenly, mechanically, I thrust my hand into the one stretched out to me. And as I did, an incredible thing took place. The current started in my shoulder, raced down my arm, sprang into our joined hands. And this healing warmth seemed to flood my whole being, bringing tears to my eyes. "I forgive you brother!" I cried. "With all my heart!" Corrie Ten Boom made this statement as she forgave the guard at Ravensbruck Concentration Camp, for the death of her sister.
Love creates forgiveness and forgiveness makes peace, even peace in our heart. Love is the blood of Jesus, and it covers a multitude of sins. If Jesus forgives us for our sin, should we not in turn, forgive others for what they do to us?
Prayer: Please help us, Lord Jesus, to remember to forgive as you have forgiven us.
"In this manner, therefore, pray:
Our Father in heaven,
Hallowed be Your name.
Your kingdom come.
Your will be done
On earth as it is in heaven.
Give us this day our daily bread.
And forgive us our debts,
As we forgive our debtors.
And do not lead us into temptation,
But deliver us from the evil one.
For Yours is the kingdom and the power
and the glory forever. Amen. Matthew 6:9-13 (NKJV)
